About the Item
A fabulous early 20th century Suspension Boule from the South of France. This rare curiosity is constructed from hand forged iron. It was used on ships or large boats with candles for lighting. The small bucket where the candles were placed rotates inside the Boule's rings keeping the candles upright - reacting to the movement of the sea, Suspended from a wonderful chain.
