About the Item
This charming 1940s ceiling lamp features a beautifully scalloped shade crafted from alternating panels of pleated cream silk and pale green painted sections adorned with delicate hand-applied gold decorative motifs. The edge is finished with an ornate braided trim that enhances the lamp’s soft, romantic silhouette.
Suspended from a brass canopy and stem, the fixture retains its original dual-bulb socket assembly (rewiring recommended). The silk shade exhibits gentle patina consistent with age, including a few small tears and spots of wear, which add to its authentic vintage character.
A lovely example of mid-century European craftsmanship, this piece provides a warm, diffused glow and makes an elegant statement in bedrooms, dining spaces, or entryways.
