About the Item

A handsome English 19th century Regency st. Ormolu and Wedgwood Porcelain chandelier. This elegant six arm chandelier displays a sleek circular reeded bottom with a central ring finial. Surrounding the dome are six scrolled and reeded arms with charming foliate decorations on the underside. The upper portion of the dome leads to the central triangular shaped fut. Each side of the fut is elegantly decorated with a fitted elongated oval Wedgwood Porcelain plaque of an allegorical scene with a classically dressed maiden at the center. The plaques are decorated by a top swaging laurel garland and flanked by ram's heads. Above is a circular reeded urn surrounded by three scrolled movements while suspended from linked chains leading to the top crown. *Available with matching set of six sconces, item# 15269, sold separately.
