These imposing industrial pendants were manufactured in the 1960s by Elektrosvit, a renowned lighting producer operating across Poland and the wider Eastern Bloc. Known for supplying heavy-duty luminaires to factories, power stations and state-run industrial complexes, Elektrosvit specialised in robust, high-output fixtures engineered to meet strict socialist-era industrial standards.
Salvaged from decommissioned Polish manufacturing plants, each pendant features a substantial speckled graphite enamel shade—a finish typical of Elektrosvit’s mid-century production, designed to withstand heat, dust and constant use on bustling factory floors. The lights retain their original polished aluminium upper gallery and cast junction box, both stamped with the manufacturer’s markings and technical specifications, offering clear evidence of their industrial lineage.
The interior of the shade, finished in crisp white enamel, was designed for maximum reflective efficiency, providing bright, even illumination across large workspaces.
