Glorious hand crafted, geometrically designed and inlaid glass stones with exquisite rose / pink opaline glass panels light fixture.
This outstanding, great looking and intricate workmanship ceiling lamp from the earliest years of post war Europe is another one of our recent great finds. With 20th century lighting being one of our specialities we are always looking to find unique fixtures that we have never seen before. This stylish specimen from circa 1940-1950 perfectly fits that bill. What makes this hand-crafted light fixture extra special are ofcourse the inlaid and large chunks of transparent glass combined with the smaller 'glass chunks' in the sides and in the upper rim. The flat glass panels however, are made of a unique opaline glass that is all white on the inside, but rose (or slightly pinkish) on the outside. It is this two-tone coloring on the outside (the pink and the shiny transparent glass rocks) that makes this rare
impressive chandelier stand out from anything we have ever seen. Both with the light switched on and off, all these details and the quality of the workmanship make this chandelier a work of ART on your ceiling and a joy to behold. We think it will look great in the living room of an apartment or in a hallway, but also on a landing or in a bedroom. No matter where you decide to use it, this superb quality crafted and excellent condition (just one crack in one of the large panels, see image 20) pendant light brings class and style in your home like no modern light fixture ever could. Mind you, this rare pendant will arrive rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and it will easily take a bulb of up to 100 watts. The stylish hanging and canopy too is great looking and in superb condition. Finally, thanks to the metal hook inside the canopy, safely mounting this rare light tight to your ceiling will take no more than a few minutes either.
We have said it before and we will say it again here, but this great pendant too is even better looking in real life than in any of our photos. You can, again, take our word for it.
