Monumental Art Deco alabaster pendant featuring dramatic veining and substantial bronze suspension.
This impressive and monumental Art Deco pendant light dates to the circa 1920s and features a finely carved alabaster bowl of exceptional scale and weight. The stone displays striking dark natural veining against a luminous pale ground, creating a dramatic visual effect that becomes especially rich and atmospheric when illuminated.
The alabaster shade is suspended by substantial, heavy bronze chains and fittings, which emphasize the architectural character of the piece and underscore its high-quality construction. The overall presence is bold and sculptural, making this pendant ideally suited for large rooms, entry halls, stairwells, or statement interiors.
The pendant accommodates six light sources with new sockets suitable for E27 (E26) light bulbs. It is offered in good vintage condition, with age-appropriate wear consistent with its history and use.
