Fine Antique Opaline Pendant Light with Silver-Plated Gallery
A particularly handsome early 20th-century opaline glass pendant, distinguished by its refined, gently flared shade and original silver-plated gallery. The opaline glass is of excellent quality, offering a beautifully diffused, even light when lit, while its crisp white surface presents with a soft, understated lustre.
The silver-plated fitting is well-detailed, with delicately pierced ventilation work and a pleasingly proportioned profile, suspended from a traditional linked chain. Condition Report
The opaline glass shade presents in excellent antique condition with only minor, age-appropriate surface indications consistent with its period. The silver-plated gallery and chain have been professionally cleaned, preserving the original finish and definition of the pierced detailing.
The light has been fully cleaned and rewired to current British standards, using high-quality, British-made electrical components throughout. All wiring and fittings are new and of appropriate specification for safe domestic use.
