About the Item

A sensational and extremely high quality French 18th century Louis XV period ormolu and crystal chandelier. The chandelier is centered by a charming and finely cut hand blown crystal ball below a tier of cut crystal pendants. Each of the fifteen elegantly scrolled arms are adorned with clear and amethyst color cut crystals. Behind each of the five arms of the cage are three intertwined sprays displaying additional cut crystals. At the center is a stunning hand blown crystal central fut with crystal pendants and a lit central crystal dagger. Above are additional crystal pendants with lighting, and an additional row of daggers below the top crystal fut and majestic top crown. All original gilt.
