About the Item

A high quality French 19th century Belle Epoque Period Louis XVI st. patinated Bronze and Ormolu chandelier. This stunning six arm chandelier is decorated at the bottom by finely chased palmettes with a central berried finial. Above are three scrolled Ormolu classical maidens surrounding the central patinated Bronze body while connected by a foliate band at the mid section, and flanked by a burnished trim above and below. The three maidens are holding curved electrified branches in each hand with foliage and ending with attractive frosted Glass tulips. The upper portion of the urn displays an elegant spiral fluted design with decorative Ormolu chandelles below a top reserve with a central finial. Behind each maiden is a twisted Ormolu rope with a mid level tassel leading to the top circular foliate crown. *Canopies and Chain shown for display purposes, sold separately.
