About the Item

A sensational and most unique French 19th century Charles X st. Verdigris Bronze and Ormolu chandelier. This stunning upward lighting and square shaped chandelier displays concave sides and a wonderful Verdigris patinated Bronze background. The patinated finish is embellished by richly chased Ormolu mounts. The four corners are decorated by female masks wearing foliate crowns while at the center is an impressive finial. The center of each side has a pierced handle which is flanked by large scrolled acanthus leaves. Each handle is fitted with a fine and decorative link Ormolu chain leading to the top.
