About the Item

A lovely French 19th century Empire st. verdigris patinated bronze and ormolu chandelier. The patinated bronze base is decorated with an ormolu inverted finial and acanthus leaves and foliage. Above the three S scrolled arms are centered by a frosted flame shaped light adorned with and ormolu band and ormolu drapery with tassels. Three ormolu and bronze open link chains join the base to the impressive patinated bronze top crown adorned with pierced ormolu acanthus leaves rosettes and inverted ormolu acorn finial. All original patina and gilt.
