About the Item

A French gilt metal three-light chandelier from the 19th century, with ribbons and cherubs holding the shades. Born in France during the 19th century, this three-light chandelier features a ribbon-tied canopy, supporting profiled links. The lower section presents a central bowl from which are departing three lovely cherubs holding the lights in their hands. The flaming finial that responds beautifully to the three shades, gives a perfect conclusion to the ensemble. Wired for the US, this 19th century French gilt cherub chandelier will bring a touching presence to any home, perhaps displayed in a bedroom.
