About the Item

A beautiful French 19th century Louis XV st. gilt metal and rock crystal chandelier. The six arm chandelier is centered by a solid bottom crystal pendant below an elegant mottled lightly curved support and surrounded by a remarkable array of most decorative faceted cut rock crystal pendants. Three of the wonderfully scrolled arms display striking crystal daggers and additional crystal pendants leading to charming floral bobeches. The central fut is encased by exquisite mottled rock crystal elements with a beautiful central spray with teardrop shaped pendants with an additional striking spray at the top crown with most decorative scrolled elements and lovely faceted crystal pendants.
