About the Item

A high quality and large scale French 19th century Louis XV st. Ormolu and Baccarat Crystal chandelier. This stunning chandelier, with ten electrified arms and fifteen lights, displays an open scrolled Ormolu cage. At the bottom are scrolled Ormolu acanthus leaves surrounding the bottom Baccarat Crystal ball. The pierced and scrolled frame showcases an elegant beaded lattice design with Crystal rosettes and beaded strands. At various different elevations there are beautiful hanging pear and water drop shaped cut Crystals. The larger arms above have additional acanthus leaves and larger hanging Crystals. The upper section has a an even larger and more fanciful lattice Crystal design leading to the top crown. The top crown has four interior lights elegantly decorated by Ormolu tulip embellishments below additional hanging water drops. The very top is designed with a beaded strands flanking beautifully scalloped Crystal seashells.
