About the Item

A charming French 19th century Louis XV st. ormolu chandelier. The six arm chandelier is centered by a beautiful finely detailed acorn finial below the reeded body. Each of the elegantly scrolled arms branches out from impressive rams heads connected by lovely swaging berried laurel garlands and are adorned with large richly chased acanthus leaves leading to beaded bobeches and reeded candle cups. The body displays a unique and extremely decorative mottled and spiral fluted design below a hoop and wonderfully executed swaging fabric tied in a bow. * Shades are shown for display purposes only.
