About the Item

A stunning and extremely unique French 19th century Louis XV st. ormolu chandelier, signed by Vian and after a model by Jean-Jacques Caffieri. The nine arm chandelier is centered by a striking bottom floral finial below beautiful scrolled foliate movements that extend upwards. At the center is a most decorative vase with finely detailed flowers framed within elegant scrolled designs. The arms are separated in to three groups of three creating a most decorative flower like design when seen from below. Each arm displays a sensational scrolled movement with superb luxuriant acanthus leaves and most unique candle cups. The central fut displays three scrolled foliate elements centering a lovely richly chased water flora like branch leading up to a charming and intricately detailed floral bouquet above. * Shades are shown for display purposes only.
