About the Item

An elegant and high quality French 19th century Louis XV st. Ormolu chandelier. This exquisite twelve light chandelier is centered by a berried bottom finial below scrolling acanthus leaf designs. Each of the beautifully scrolled arms are adorned with large acanthus leaves leading to remarkable floral bobeches and richly chased candle cups surrounding an urn and bouquet of flowers. The central cage displays three scrolled foliate elements centering a lovely richly chased foliate branch leading up to a charming and intricately detailed floral bouquet. Above is the top crown showcasing stunning foliate movements. *Shades, Canopies and Chain shown for display purposes, sold separately.
