About the Item

A stunning French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu and alabaster eight arm fourteen light chandelier. The chandelier is centered by a fine foliate finial below the impressive alabaster dome which houses six light bulbs offering a warm glow throughout. The beautiful pierced rim displays four pairs of elegant arms each centered by a richly chased winged cherub mask. Leading up the scrolled support which are adorned with large fine acanthus leaves is the most decorative central fut below reeded and floral designs and the original chain and pierced canopy. * Shades are shown for display purposes only.
