About the Item

An elegant and high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu chandelier. This most wonderful six arm six light chandelier is centered by a stunning and richly chased dome accented with draped fabrics at its base and fluted patterns above. The dome is decorated with intricately detailed chandelles leading to a flame finial. Each of the six arms emerge from under the dome and surround a single inverted finial. The arms display handsome twisted rope designs leading to block reserves and ending with the foliate beaded bobeche and candle cup. Three most decorative geometric linked chains connect the arms to the foliate top crown showcasing large scale acanthus leaves. *Shades, Canopies and Chain shown for display purposes, sold separately.
