About the Item

An elegant and high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu chandelier. This wonderful six arm chandelier displays a decorative central fut in the shape of a quiver with fluted and reeded designs and a bottom acorn finial. The six scrolled arms surround the quiver and showcase reeded designs with inner scrolled foliate Rinceaux movements. Each arm displays a twisted spiral design leading to foliate sprays below the circular saucer with a beaded edge. Leading up the central support and at the midsection, are six richly chased ram's heads protruding outward and aligned with each of the scrolled arms. The quiver shaped central fut showcases wonderfully detailed Ormolu fletchings below a delicately tied ribbon and ring. Richly chased with wonderful and rich gilding throughout. *Shades, Canopies and Chain show for display purposes, sold separately.
