About the Item

A sensational and high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu and enameled Bronze chandelier. The six light chandelier is centered by an inverted Ormolu acorn final leading up with richly chased foliate movements encasing the enameled cobalt blue Bronze central fut. Each lovely arm displays a Rinceaux shape with a charming and wonderfully executed bird perched inside. The arms display fine twisted designs and richly chased swaging floral garlands. The central fut displays a quiver shape with Ormolu fletchings and detailed female masks amidst foliate designs. The three unique and decorative chains are attached to striking richly chased rams heads that lead up to the impressive tied ribbon and foliate top crown. *Shades, Canopies and Chain shown for display purposes, sold separately.
