About the Item

An elegant and high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. patinated Bronze and Ormolu chandelier. This stunning three arm chandelier, with a patinated Bronze quiver like center, displays wonderful scrolled acanthus leaf decorations ending with a bottom acorn finial. The patinated Bronze quiver is decorated by scrolled Ormolu berried laurel branches while at the top of the quiver is a large floral bouquet. The quiver is surrounded by the three scrolled arms which are attached at the center of the quiver by a crossed band with decorative flower rosettes. Each arm is decorated by acanthus leaves leading to the circular saucer and candle cups. The quiver and three arms are supported by three Ormolu stems in the form of tied cloth with bottom rings. The tightly pulled cloths showcase charming tassels tied at the mid section before culminating into a knot below the top hoop. *Shades, Canopies and Chain shown for display purposes, sold separately.
