About the Item

A stunning French 19th century Louis XVI st. Belle Epoque period ormolu and Baccarat crystal chandelier. The chandelier is centered by a beautiful cut crystal ball amidst striking smooth and cut tear drop and prism shaped crystals. Each arm is adorned with richly chased acanthus leaves with alternating foliate candle cups and unique frosted glass eternal flames. At the center are bulbs shining upwards illuminating the striking Baccarat crystal dagger and cut crystal pendants. The cage displays a fine twisted design adorned with acanthus leaves which lead up to the majestic Baccarat crystal top crown with wheat spring and additional beautiful crystal pendants. All original gilt.

A most elegant and high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu, frosted and cut glass, twelve light chandelier , in the manner of Henri Dasson. The chandelier with the a bottom acorn finial has four 'C' scrolled maidens flanking central oval frosted glass with a beveled border. The oval frosted glass inserts are surrounded by a lattice beaded design with rosettes, all below a pierced acanthus leaf wreath.
