About the Item

A high quality French 19th century Neo-Classical st. patinated Bronze, Ormolu and Glass chandelier. The six arm nine light chandelier is centered by a striking and richly chased Ormolu bottom acorn finial and a lovely foliate back plate. Protruding from the back plate are three Ormolu acanthus leaves leading to polished patinated Bronze cherubs with one candle in each hand. The stunning cherubs have Ormolu accents and support the wonderful and finely detailed diamond cut circular glass bowl. Handsome chains made of Ormolu stars and Bronze links lead up to the circular mottled Ormolu top crown with a beaded band around the upper rim. *Shades shown for display purposes, sold separately.
