About the Item

An exceptional and high quality French 19th century Neo-Classical st. Ormolu, Crystal, and Glass chandelier. This wonderful six light chandelier is centered by an inverted tulip bulb bottom finial flanked by prism cut and tear drop cut Crystal pendants. The midsection displays a stunning array of Rosette cut Crystals linked together to form six sections within the body that are separated by Ormolu bands. The Ormolu rim showcases six sprays with tear drop cut Crystal pendants hanging from each end. The mottled central fut is encased in twisted glass with a stunning socle shaped glass reserve. Surrounding the the central fut are six 'S' scrolling Ormolu bands which are connected by swaging Crystal pendants and decorated with three tear drop pendants hanging from each band. These wonderfully decorated 'S' scrolled bands lead to the finely detailed top crown. The top crown has an Ormolu spray with hanging tear drop pendants that surround a tastefully etched Crystal tulip bulb.
