About the Item

A beautiful and unique French 19th century Neo-Classical st. patinated bronze and ormolu chandelier. The five arm chandelier is centered by a striking patinated bronze ball with a fine bottom acorn finial and an impressive richly chased open winged maiden holding her hands up while draped in a wonderfully executed flowing garment. The arms branch out from handsome finely detailed lion heads with scrolled fluted designs adorned with richly chased acanthus leaves in a superb satin and burnished finish. Above is the original chain leading up to the foliate canopy. * Shades are shown for display purposes only.
