About the Item

A beautiful and most decorative Country French 19th century patinated dark blue wrought iron and gilt metal chandelier. The eight-arm chandelier is centered by a beautiful charming berried and foliate bottom finial below the elegant reeded body. Four pairs of elegantly scrolled arms branch outwards each displaying two arms with superb gilt metal flowers and remarkable garlands leading to delicate floral bobeches. The body displays a lovely deep patinated blue coloration with a wrap-around beaded gilt metal band and a fine curved shape with unique pierced circles. The central support displays an exceptional baluster shape with beautifully curved elements, additional gilt metal floral accents, and exceptional unique and most decorative swaging blooming flowers above.
