About the Item

An impressive and large scale French 19th century Renaissance st. Gilt and Wrought Iron chandelier. This palatially scaled twenty-five light chandelier is centered by an array of 'C' scrolled Wrought Iron bands that surround the scrolling acanthus leaf designed bottom finial. Each element of the scrolling Wrought Iron band is attached to the adjacent band with a fine Gilt Iron support. The circular pierced bottom tier is decorated by additional scrolling bands and crest shaped accents. Tapering up to the similarly decorated smaller top tier are five uniquely designed Wrought Iron chains with additional fine Gilt Iron bands. Leading up to the similarly decorated smaller scale top crown are additional Wrought Iron chains of the same design. *Shades, Canopies and Chain shown for display purposes, sold separately.
