About the Item

A unique and most whimsical French 19th century Renaissance st. Wrought Iron chandelier. This most decorative six light chandelier is designed with a bottom tier of Palmette shaped pierced scrolls with a central twisted Iron stem. Each scrolled movement is joined at the center by a scalloped shaped reserve with a bottom finial. Surrounding the outer border are six pierced lanterns with downward spikes ending with a scalloped shaped saucers and ball finials. Inside of each lantern is an electrified candle, while the outer rims are finished with charming animal heads. The chandelier is held by three twisted and scrolled designed supports leading to a top iron ring below the central link chain and top canopy. Hand forged and retains all original finishes.
