About the Item

A striking French 19th century Renaissance st. four arm, ten light, ormolu, silvered bronze and frosted glass chandelier. The chandelier is centered by a striking circular fitted frosted glass bottom with beautiful and most decorative etched star designs. The central tier displays a fine interlocking ormolu design set on a silvered bronze background. Each arm displays an elegant lightly curved support with fine foliate designs and hexagonal candle cups and bobeches. Four fine chains are attached at richly chased pierced foliate mounts and lead upwards to the elegant top crown. * Shades are shown for display purposes only.
