About the Item

A handsome and most decorative French 19th century Louis XV st. Wrought Iron, Gilt and Baccarat Crystal chandelier. This stunning twelve arm, twelve light chandelier is centered at the bottom of the scrolled cage by a charming cluster of Crystal grapes. The Wrought Iron cage consist of four main scrolled supports flanked by double scrolled arms accented with large scale Gilt acanthus leaves. Each scrolled arm is richly decorated with hanging kite and water drop shaped Baccarat Crystals, with additional fruit shaped Crystals in various colors. The arms surround the impressive stacked Baccarat Crystal fut, which is topped with a foliate mount below a handsome smoked Crystal dagger. Above is a wonderful segment of Crystal grapes and cherries below the scrolled top spray accented with Gilt tips and additional Crystals in various colors. *Shades, Canopies and Chain shown for display purposes, sold separately.
