French Art Deco pendant light in warm amber-toned alabaster with bronze mounts, circa 1920s.
A refined French Art Deco pendant light, crafted from richly veined alabaster in warm amber tones and complemented by patinated bronze fittings. Elegant in form and atmospheric when illuminated, this piece exemplifies the timeless appeal of 1920s French decorative lighting.
This French Art Deco pendant light dates to circa the 1920s and features a beautifully shaped alabaster shade displaying deep amber hues and natural veining. When lit, the stone emits a warm, softly diffused glow, enhancing the organic patterns and color variations inherent to alabaster.
The shade is framed and suspended by finely detailed bronze mounts and chains, which retain a mellow, aged patina consistent with the period. The harmonious contrast between the glowing alabaster and the darker bronze elements gives the fixture a sculptural and balanced presence.
The pendant has been fitted with one new socket for an E27 light bulb (also compatible with E26), making it suitable for modern use while preserving its original character. A maker’s mark is present on the bronze fitting, indicating workshop production.
The lamp is complemented by a matching bronze ceiling canopy, ensuring a cohesive and finished appearance.

Condition: In good vintage condition with light signs of age; natural inclusions and veining in the alabaster consistent with the material.
