About the Item
A lovery Arte Deco era alabaster pendant / light fixture, France, 1930-1939. Hand-carved shade from a solid alabaster rock with beautiful black veining and polished to a natural shine. Suspended from three original hand-knotted ropes connecting to a to original handmade silk tassel canopy. In the center a brass and porcelain light socket suspended by the same hand-knotted rope for an Edison E27 screw bulb up to 100 watts, providing a warm and pleasant light. This pendant is in fine vintage condition, full functional.
