About the Item
Elegant French Art Nouveau chandelier with white alabaster bowl and pink glass shades.
This elegant Art Nouveau chandelier, dating to circa 1920, features a finely carved white alabaster bowl with expressive dark veining, combined with richly detailed bronze mounts and delicately shaped pink glass shades.
The bronze structure is beautifully sculptural, with a recurring chestnut motif visible throughout the mounts and suspension elements, a characteristic decorative theme of the Art Nouveau period. The chandelier is suspended by refined matching chains, creating a harmonious and balanced composition.
The lighting arrangement consists of nine light points: six outer lights and three inner lights, providing both generous illumination and visual depth. When illuminated, the alabaster produces a warm, soft glow, enhanced by the gentle blush tone of the glass shades.
The chandelier is supplied with a matching bronze ceiling canopy, decorated with an elegant chestnut and leaf motif, perfectly echoing the sculptural detailing of the fixture and completing the composition with a cohesive Art Nouveau finish.
