About the Item

A grand French Empire style 'Sac à Perles' chandelier. The piece features a finely chased gilt bronze frame with the Baccarat name stamped into the metalwork. The design consists of a tiered waterfall of octagonal crystal droplets descending to a central bronze gallery decorated with neoclassical patterns. The lower basket is composed of radiating strands of hand-cut crystal prisms, finished with a heavy faceted crystal ball at the base. This chandelier retains its classic Empire silhouette and the high-quality craftsmanship associated with Baccarat bronze and glass production. The chandelier measures approximately 59 inches (150 cm) in height, excluding the chain. When including the chain and canopy (ceiling rose), the total drop reaches approximately 71 inches (180 cm). The substantial scale of this piece makes it an ideal focal point for grand entryways or formal dining rooms.
