About the Item
A refined French Neoclassical pendant featuring a richly veined amber-toned alabaster bowl, elegantly suspended by ornate bronze chains and mounts.
This elegant French pendant light, dating to the early 20th century (circa 1920s), showcases a beautiful amber-toned alabaster bowl with natural veining in warm honey, cream, and subtle charcoal hues. When illuminated, the alabaster produces a soft, atmospheric glow that highlights the depth and character of the stone.
The shade is suspended by ornately cast bronze chains and decorative mounts, executed in a classical Neoclassical vocabulary with finely detailed leaf and acanthus motifs. The bronze elements display a warm, time-earned patina that complements the alabaster’s coloration without overpowering it.
The lamp is fitted with one new E27 (E26) size socket.
Installation by a qualified electrician is recommended, in keeping with standard practice for vintage lighting.
