About the Item

French Neoclassical amber alabaster chandelier featuring decorative glass shades and bronze accents. An elegant French Neoclassical chandelier from the early 20th century, featuring a richly veined amber alabaster bowl complemented by finely cast bronze mounts and three sculptural frosted glass shades, creating a warm and atmospheric light. This refined French Neoclassical style chandelier dates to circa 1920 and exemplifies the period’s preference for noble materials and balanced, classical proportions. At its center is a beautiful amber alabaster bowl, distinguished by dramatic natural veining that becomes especially luminous when illuminated. Three outward-facing light sources provide balanced ambient illumination, while a discreet interior light gently glows through the alabaster bowl, creating depth and warmth. The bowl is suspended by ornate bronze chains and fitted with three gracefully curved bronze arms, each terminating in a decorative frosted amber glass shade. The combination of alabaster, bronze, and sculptural glass yields a harmonious and highly decorative lighting piece, equally suitable for a living room, dining area, or elegant hallway. The chandelier is fitted with four sockets suitable for E27 (E26) size light bulbs. Installation by a qualified electrician is recommended.
