About the Item
A beautifully detailed Empire-style chandelier made of gilt bronze. The chandelier features six gracefully scrolling arms adorned with classical motifs such as acanthus leaves, palmettes, and floral garlands.
Suspended by decorative chains from a fluted central stem, it ends in a finely cast and chased lower finial.
The chandelier retains a rich, warm golden tone with a lovely aged patina — possibly mercury fire gilded (ormolu).
It has been newly rewired and fitted with candle-style bulb holders.
A striking decorative piece that adds timeless elegance and character to any interior.
