About the Item

A beautiful French turn of the century Louis XV st. Gilt Metal and Baccarat crystal chandelier, attributed to Maison Bagues. The six arm chandelier is centered by a most decorative and lovely Gilt Metal foliate reserve and a superb array of teardrop and kite shaped cut crystal pendants. The six elegantly scrolled arms branch out from scrolled Gilt Metal branches with exceptional etched crystal leaves and each displaying beautiful crystal pendants and charming floral bobeches. The arms also are elegantly decorated by various clear and colored beaded garlands with hanging amethyst and clear cut faceted tear drop Crystals. The lightly curved cage which is richly decorated by Crystal rosettes leads upwards to a superb top crown with additional hanging clear Crystals below rosettes. *Shades shown for display purposes only.
