A magnificent and high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu and cut Glass chandelier. This exquisite twelve arm twelve light chandelier is centered by a glass prism cut bottom finial hanging below a glass rosette and an array of berried foliate Ormolu decorations. The central fut above is decorated by acanthus leaves, beaded bands, weaving pattern bands, cherub busts, acorn ornaments, pierced foliate designs, hanging garments, and rosette pendants. Emerging from the collage of decorations on the body of the fut are the twelve 'C' scrolled foliate decorated arms. Each arm displays a tear drop glass central reserve and a group of scallop and tear drop cut glass pendants hanging below the foliate designed candle cups.
