About the Item
No chips, and No cracks to glass, just stains and slight oxidation to original metal hardware.
Very rare George Nelson (attributed) poly triangular icosahedron globe pendant light. Originally procured from an old Midwest music store demolished in the 1980s and these lights were stored for decades. The attribution was made by prominent Venice California Modernist Architect.
Hardware included; the original white cylindrical fitter and ceiling canopy (which looks like fitter but deeper) are Included. Some stains, loss, patinations to enamel in the metal hardware.
"The icosahedron (20 sided polygon triangular) is a pure mathematical creation. It was the first realization of an entity that existed before only in abstract thought." This form is borrowed by Nelson to create this Mid-Century Modern Faceted Milk Glass Geometric Form.
