About the Item

"Cocoon" Midcentury Chandelier by Friedel Wauer for Goldkant, 1960s Beautiful, cool and rare German "Cocoon" chandelier pendant light. This pendant was designed in Germany by Friedel Wauer during the 1960s and manufactured from Goldkant Leuchten. The lamp body is made of a metal basket and sprayed with a special resin that feels like soft leather after drying. The resin remains soft and slightly stretchy and was revolutionary in the lamp industry at the time. In fact, this manufacturing technique was then copied by many other designers worldwide. This lamp is in excellent condition for its age and has a great color, with only a few very slight, barely visible shadows on the underside. The fixture´s height itself is 29 cm (11.4 in). The original total height to the ceiling is 85 cm (33.4in). On request we can mount another electric wire in different length.
