About the Item

A copper lantern designed in Finland during the 1930s. Topped with a coronet of delicate leaves tinged with verdigris, this frosted glass pendant was designed and made in Finland during the first half of the 20th century. Originally an outdoor lantern, this impressively proportioned piece has accrued a vibrant verdigris patina throughout its life; a green which only enhances the vegetal ornament which tops the elegant frame. The lantern is in good vintage condition with an even verdigris across the metalwork. The lamp has been rewired to UK standard and its drop can be adjusted with chains.
