An exquisite Swedish Grace ceiling lamp from the 1930s that captures the elegance and craftsmanship of the Art Deco era. Its striking blue glass shade, almost 60cm wide, with a shallow profile, is adorned with delicately embossed plant motifs that suggest flowing seaweed or aquatic flora, lending the piece a gentle marine character and mimicing a sea bed above which rises three mythical sea creatures in cast brass / bronze — an enchanting combination of a horse and mermaid — a design detail that beautifully reflects the romanticism and imagination of the period and casts a shadow on the ceiling when the lamp is lit.
