About the Item
Green fern leaves and brass basket four-light chandelier, attributed to Maison Baguès, France, circa the 1950s.
This rare and stunning French Hollywood Regency-style botanical chandelier features organically shaped fern leaves along with a woven brass basket. It is suspended from a painted, stylized metal rope secured at the base with a metal hanging tassel. Four concealed bulbs, intended to emit ambient light, illuminate the pendant chandelier from within.
It includes four new sockets compatible with E27 (E26) size light bulbs.
The chandelier is in good condition with some signs of wear. The green paint has been refreshed, although two leaf tips have been lost over the years; please refer to image #16.
Dimensions: The diameter is circa 50 cm / 19.7 in, height is 113 cm / 44.4 in.
The light fixture is in complete working order, but as with all vintage or antique lighting, we always suggest it is tested and installed by a qualified electrician.
