About the Item
An French Art Deco original hand carved off white alabaster bowl shape pendant chandelier with unusual scalopped edge featuring a few very subtle natural formations vis a vis wisps of contrasting gray natural veining, striations and translucent tiny spherical patterns.
The border rim highlights a hand-carved, ovoid racetrack detail with stylized floral motif. The fixture has a deep bulbous form and is suspended by a beige twisted rope cord, complemented by brass hardware and canopy.
The background color in white and juxtaposition of the darker grey creates exciting patterns caused by the natural veins of the stone.
This alabaster platfonnier / light has an appealing semi satiny gloss surface sheen.
