About the Item
A magnificent and highly detailed twelve-light chandelier composed of hand-carved and polished rock crystal and hand-forged wrought iron. The spectacular rock crystal center shaft anchors five gracefully tiered arms of finely wrought iron, each modeled in an acanthus foliate motif with intricate repoussé and chased detailing.
Each tier is lavishly hung with a collection of hand-carved and hand-polished rock crystal prisms—some clear, others in smoky crystal tones—meticulously faceted to catch and refract the light with exceptional brilliance. Interspersed among them are Bohemian cut crystal drops and rare crystal clamshells, adding both textural richness and visual rhythm to the overall composition.
The chandelier terminates in a substantial hand-carved rock crystal sphere, a traditional symbol of unity and perfection.
