Extraordinary, rare and large Scandinavian midcentury organic modern ceiling light designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson for Swedish Ellysett. Handmade with slender pine wood veneer slats bent into shape of a swirling slender neck and a large open base. Original black plastic cylinder canopy and black cord.
A classic Nordic modernist piece in great vintage condition.

Hans-Agne Jakobsson
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.
