About the Item
Important hanging lamp, made in the Jugendstil period in Austria, in the style of the Wiener Werkstätte, maybe attributable to Adolf Loos.
The hanging lamp is exceptionally designed. Three cables run down a triangular metal plate, onto which thick-walled glass beads in two different shapes have been threaded. The strands support a triangular high wooden plate that has curved shapes all around.
On the underside - the viewer's side - there is a faceted, original mirror plate (also rounded like the plate) and reveals three light sources - which have always been equipped with simple light bulbs.
Measurements approx: height 39,37 in - 100 cm, width 12,20 in - 31 cm, depth 12,20 in - 31 cm
After a long research process, the lamp unfortunately could not be definitely attributed to Adolf Loos, but the design language of the Wiener Werkstätte is unmistakable.
An exceptional original Art Nouveau lamp that has been rewired, otherwise only original parts. A special jewelry for every interior.
