About the Item
Introducing the Wild Kingdom Collection, a scene-stealing set of maximalist art lamps inspired by the majesty of nature.
Designed with the modern kitchen island in mind, Model No. 046 consists of a monumental cloth-like ivory and brown lacquer rice-paper shade made from a contemporary Japanese bamboo parasol, with seaweed-green lambskin, brass, and brown leather accents. It’s finished with unlacquered brass hardware, 8-feet of chocolate-brown cloth-covered cord for a custom drop, and a Strella series brown resin starfish-shaped ceiling mount. An interior brass fixture with a white milk-glass globe shade diffuses the light.
The shade, which has been waterproofed with tung oil in the traditional manner, is reassuringly durable and difficult to tear.
Mounting hardware included.
Made-to-order by hand in New York in a numbered, signed edition of by artist Christopher Tennant.

The World’s Fair Collection is a family of fixtures handmade from sustainably sourced materials and upcycled antique paper parasols given to visitors at the 20th century’s most illustrious cultural expo.
Model No. 002 features a rice-paper shade constructed from a vintage souvenir parasol handed out at the 1962 World's Fair in Seattle. It sits atop a lacquered bamboo column with a hand-painted, rattan-and-leather handle, and a painted coiled-seagrass base. Brass fittings, tan leather accents, and a cloth-covered cord complete the modernist profile.
